BC's DST public consultation was one of the largest in our history: +90% of ~223,000 British Columbians were supportive of ending the time change.

With that level of public support, it's no surprise that the NDP chose this issue as their "channel changer" after weeks of bad press from Budget 2026.

"You can't have it both ways" - mixed reaction to B.C.'s budget

CBC airing Olympic hockey meant a shortened on-air #BCpoli panel but we made up for it with an extended podcast edition covering #Budget2026 as well as an in-depth debate about the NDP's decision to scrap the Office of the Merit Commissioner.

Discussing Prime Minister Mark Carney's big speech at Davos:

"I've got to say, as someone who was a speechwriter in a former life, it's not just about the text, it's about the delivery. The way that Carney stood up and delivered this, backed by his credentials, is what made this stand out."

Opinion: Stargate’s return will test B.C.’s grip on β€˜Hollywood North’ GivenΒ its deep roots here, if the new series shoots in the U.S. it would send a devastating message to B.C. creatives, workers and investors

My piece in the @vancouversun.bsky.social today on why Stargate's return after 14 years will be a litmus test for whether Vancouver's film & television industry can remain competitive in the Trump era & why #Stargate is worth B.C. fighting for it. #BCpoli #CDNpoli

All 17 seasons of #Stargate (354 episodes across 3 series) and 2 movies were shot here in British Columbia.

I hope that @annekangburnaby.bsky.social is working with sector reps like CreativeBC and the MPPIA to make sure that this great franchise, so deeply tied to B.C., returns home. #BCpoli

This is a big loss, @richardzussman.bsky.social is an icon in #BCpoli. It was a pleasure working with you throughout my time at the @bclegislature.bsky.social & I'll forever be grateful for the help & insights you were able to provide when I took over the role of Press Secretary for the Opposition.

Comment: Lack of empathy leads to political violence These heinous killings should make it painfully clear that if we continue to let a lack of empathy thrive in our political discourse, violence follows.

My thoughts in the Saturday Edition of the @timescolonist.bsky.social on what those of us in the political sphere can do to push back on the increasingly toxic atmosphere of partisan politics in the western world. #BCpoli #CDNpoli

75% LPC 74% CPC

I spent 8 yrs working in a coalition of Liberal & Conservative supporters in #BCpoli, so let me remind #CDNpoli partisans:

The views of many voters this #Elxn2025 align with mine, between the two. Demonizing Canadians for leaning the "other" way is a losing strategy. Keep it civil.

Great to attend my friend Jo-Ann Roberts' launch of her book "Storm the Ballot Box" in #VictoriaBC last night! Released just in time for the #CDNpoli election!

I'm looking forward to reading her suggestions on how we can increase political engagement and voter turnout here in Canada. #Democracy

Moving tributes at John Horgan's memorial service yesterday. All speakers touched upon his sense of humour. Even when us BC Liberals were holding his feet to the fire, he could still make us laugh. That was his gift.

Thank you for your service & all the laughs, John! May your memory be a blessing.
