I've RTed a few bits of post match analysis today, but one note I haven't heard anyone pick up was Abdoulaye Kanté and how he moves downfield so fast, it's scary. I can't wait to see him making runs to the corner and smoking defenders. I saw a glimpse of something really dangerous there.

At another moment a spare ball rolled into the box while Dick was setting up for a Goal Kick and the same announcer referenced the issue without making the obvious call of "Dick with two balls"
Apologies for my brain, folks.
During this weeks game with Indy Eleven the announcer at one point, referring to Indy's GK Eric Dick said the phrase "Dick in the Box" as a non sequitur and it just stuck in my brain for the last few days.
It's better than recent GSL crowds, but I bet the Super Leaguers beat this crowd early on in 24-25. Room to grow!

They could also take over the Aviator Sports Lease from National Parks (Which I understand is available) and build at Floyd Bennet Field but the site has zero transit, which is essential here.
Unless the team can find significant space in the Industry City or Army Terminal development areas. Last really big spaces available in Brooklyn.
Maybe deck over the rail yards somewhere, but that would require BILLIONS.
And regarding the turf field, the Cyclones make more money, so good luck until we are selling out. The stadium could use a reno IMO. Maybe one day we get an Eastern grandstand (where the score board presently is.) Would improve soccer sightlines. A move would likely be out of Brooklyn.
FYI north 6th group owns the team and is a real estate and VC company with an arm in sports. They also own Campobasso FC in Italy who were promoted back to back over the last few seasons among other teams around the world.

Oddly, the women's side had front of kit partners on a rotating basis at the outset of the season, but with the implosion of the Diaza kit production agreement with Brooklyn, those local partners have dissapeared from the new (weaksauce) kits.
Those ads are ancient and represent the Cyclones and stadium adverts. Partners for the team have historically been Threes Brewing (local in Gowanus!) And Percman lawfirm among a few others. Last year's big sponsor was Liquid Death canned water, but that appears to have ended.

The club office also sent people to various premier league, etc. supporter club bars around the city, apparently.
How do we start a campaign to get the USL to stop showing views of Manhattan in all the B-roll of our games? If they want to send a camera crew around with me to catch the sights or if they just was a list, I'd be happy to help! 🤣
Maybe we will even fill it one day.
