Ohhhh that's really cool, I can't say I've ever thought of that! There was a recent HomePod update that is meant to send an alert if it hears a fire alarm going off. I really should test that.

I've been using HA to get my nest thermostat to play nice with apple HomeKit. Its a dangerous (really fun) rabbit hole.
If you haven't seen his videos before I HIGHLY recommend The Stock Pot on Youtube. He has a great mindset about what actually makes smart home tech useful and not gimmicky.

Very good to know, I think I've heard of them before. I assume you use Home Assistant? I got some TP-Link switches on sale which work well as a normal switch but they take forever to signal to HA so there's a 2+ second delay before any devices in the scene will turn on.

I'd be very interested to hear what smart switches you use! I love how well the Lutron Caseta ones work but they're way too confusing for people who haven't seen them before

if i remember correctly it belonged to a kid that never played it docked? it was awhile back

it ended up being a scenario where i could replace the port and let the customer know it only works on one side or charge a lot more to fix the pads and we ended up just fixing it as is

first time repairing one of these for a customer all the blind pads were torn already i felt so lucky
