Vance: The reason why gas prices are where they are today is because of Donald Trump’s work…

Watching the Paralympics and I'm very creeped out by a commentator saying how one sit skier is less disabled than other competitors because he can stand with poles.

Disabilities aren't the competition here.

MLA wants to scrap B.C.’s Human Rights Code. Some constituents want her gone instead | Globalnews.ca A B.C. legislator who has sought to scrap the province's Human Rights Code and ban land acknowledgments.

"The Recall Tara Armstrong campaign says the riding is without 'consistent representation or a coherent political voice' because Armstrong has introduced 'bill after bill' that have nothing to do with the issues she campaigned on..."

Good.

Everyone who gave their kids a "unique" name spelling:

You know it makes them REALLY easy to track down for OSINT, right?

Just so we're all clear, this is a war crime and would be punishable by life or death under U.S. law.

Anti-ICE protesters accused of being part of antifa found guilty of support for terrorism in Texas Case was seen as major test of the first amendment and whether the US could use broad anti-terrorism statute to prosecute leftwing protesters

The USA is clearly now a police state under authoritarian rule.

The protestors were found guilty of aiding terrorism.

And in case it wasn't obvious, I've known people all across the gender spectrum and never have any of them ever given me cause for concern.
Nor has there been sufficient evidence to prove to me that trans people as a group are any more dangerous than their cis gender counterparts.

Basically my own experiences as a baby queer didn't match up with what I was being told and the "logic" of the arguments didn't make any sense.
To Chris, wherever you are, I hope you're living your best life because you sure as hell deserve it for transitioning in rural USA in the 90s. 6/6

Then there was the fact that I'd been molested by my dad's own brother who hadn't needed to go through a whole charade to be alone with me. Nor had any of the adult men who'd assaulted my friends. But of course that was something never to be discussed. 5/6

And of course the potential for sexual assault. My family was law enforcement so at the time I questioned the assumption that an amab cop would assault an afab cop given the slightest chance because that would imply they shouldn't be a cop in the first place. 4/

It wasn't fair to force women to see a penis.
I pointed out that changing cubicles and toilet stalls exist. I also wondered why it was fair to "force" women to be naked around each other. I was ignored on both points. 3/

Because she just wanted to perv on women. I remember thinking that I was attracted to girls so did that mean I shouldn't change with them either? I did my best to keep my eyes on my own work so if I could manage that as a horny teen couldn't a grown adult? 2/

When I was in high school, I remember my dad going off about how a cop came out as a trans woman and how it was putting cis cops at risk by allowing her to use the women's locker room. 1/

‼️ The Senate just passed major legislation to tackle the housing crisis.

But now Trump and House Republicans might block its final passage because, according to Trump, “no one gives a (bleep) about housing.”

Temper Tantrum Trump might kill this bill simply because he can't have the SAVE Act.

We're sure all you can think about today is that it's World Plumbing Day. 👨‍🔧💦

So here's the Palace plumbing - ceramic pipes that carried water around the formal gardens and fed fountains and ornamental basins and the like.

Rob Shaw: Fringe social issues keep hijacking B.C. legislature OneBC MLAs have turned a routine legislative step into daily culture-war spectacles built for social media

"... her bill to force the immediate closure of provincial drug consumption sites went through first reading without anyone shouting nay. So Armstrong called 'division' on herself, a process that forces every MLA to stand and vote individually."

Exhausting.

I am gonna be frank here for a sec. I know those who follow me love that about me. I appreciate you. This isn't for you. This post is for those who say, "we live in a horror movie."

No we dont. It is way worse.

Saying that has become a mantra people use to dismiss reality.

We all need a timeline cleanse right now, so let's start the day with this lovely jug with an octopus motif, dating ca 1200-1100 BC.

On display at National Museum Copenhagen.

A lovely weekend to all of you!
