Crazy how people are acting as if Bam did nothing impressive that game. He hit a hesi-pull 3, had a poster dunk on Sarr, several spin move / eurostep layups & tough and-ones.

On top of breaking his scoring record in the first half (tying it again in the second) and the Heat record in 3 quarters.

So the Heat have stayed in 6th, however Toronto lost and fell to 7th, whilst Orlando won and moved to 5th.

Miami are also 3.5 GB of the 4th seed which is currently held by Cleveland. Miami are 8-2 in last 10 whilst Cleveland are 5-5.

Heat play Wizards twice more this season btw

I started watching the NBA / Miami Heat in December 2021, so I missed so many huge moments from the likes of LeBron, Wade, bubble Jimmy, etc.

Bam was the first player I ever bought a Jersey for and has been the franchise player for the majority of my Heat fandom. This means something to me man.

One thing no one is talking about currently is that this win has propelled the Heat to the 6th seed.

0.5 games ahead of the Magic and tied at 10GB with the Raptors (4-6 in last 10 compared to 8-2 for Heat). The Heat have a genuine shot at the 5th seed.

Major shout out to Spo for letting Bam get the record, and all the Heat players available for feeding Bam all night. It doesn't happen without them.

The Bam Adebayo's 83-point game is landing the perfect balance of Horseshit and Delightful for me. Doing this sort of thing against tanking teams is ethical to me, and as likely a cure for tanking as anything the league could do in terms of messing around with the lottery odds.
