Yes it's funny. i used to ADORE Pertwee when i was watching as a child of 10, but as an adult i can see that Troughton was the better actor. Pertwee was a heroic figure in my child-mind, & i felt doubtful about Tom Baker - until 'Genesis of the Daleks' - which thrilled me to the depths of my soul!

He was one of the best actors ever to play the role. He had that wonderful, expressive face, combining comic & serious aspects so well. Looking at his performances as an adult (kind of ๐) i can now see that he brings all kinds of quirky, improvised ideas to every scene.

i agree with this - i brought 'The Web Planet' on DVD years ago & found it a complete slog to watch - really hard work. Whereas i do find 'The Twin Dilemma' quite entertaining.
