A couple of new projects I want to tackle long term. A set of G1 and G3 pacifics from the Reading. Obviously these are in rough shape, especially the G3. But they do seem in ok shape mechanically.

Is there a good place to look for NdeM steam history, or find blueprints for their locos? Have a desire to build a QR-1 class Niagara in HO and not a clue where to start other than just referencing pics of them on google.

An admittedly foamer gripe of mine is that all the mega mergers have obscured some of the more interesting elements of railroading that existed before the 70s. Bridge lines dont exist anymore in the same way, interesting paint schemes have disappeared outside of HUs, among other things.

A lot of people in general seem to confuse “I dont like this personally” for “This is bad and reprehensible.” It’s annoying seeing the puriteens policing content to the degree they do. There is so much more to explore and enjoy if you realize theres just stuff that isn’t for you and thats OK.
