The writer of the story, Carson Hartzog, is fully aware that the Target boycott was launched in Minneapolis on February 1, 2025. Fun find : Denny O'Neil explained the logo inconsistency in a letter column note. They tried something, didn't like it, solicited reader feedback.
And Stein and Ronnie's physical states matter to the fused form! The most notable oddity was when they formed Firestorm and Stein wasn't wearing his glasses, Firestorm found his vision blurry and unreliable.
Then there was the time they got blasted, and Stein was knocked out, within the fusion.
Likewise, Stein is presented as a passive partner in the fusion, essentially just in an advisory role, even though either of them can initiate the fusion. EXCEPT during the Legends crossover when Ronnie fuses them against Stein's will, and Stein is able to prevent Ronnie from using their powers.
Ronnie can hear Stein's directed thoughts, but can't read his mind. Ronnie normally speaks aloud, but can force himself to think 'at' the professor. They cannot read each other's minds.
But Darkseid is shown to be able to 'hear' Stein talking to Ronnie.
My Firestorm #comics read has crossed the midpoint - Conway handed off the reins to Ostrander as a 'guest' writer, and that sticks for the rest of the run, I believe.
My canon and continuity-loving brain is enjoying picking nits - there are some fun inconsistencies with how the fused form works.
It's important to remember that the stock market is not reflective of the value of the comnpanies listed, it is a mood ring for rich people.
