It's sort of the future I wish RPGs had chosen instead of generic open world action RPG. Proof of premise that turn-based RPGs are still relevant because they just deliver on story in ways other genres can't.

One of my favorite moments in FF7 is when Cloud falls into the Life Stream. I've long used it as a moment of comparison for other RPGs. "Does this RPG have a moment like that?"

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's entire premise is about how everyone falls into the Life Stream.

It's a perfect game.

Not simply because of the currency of authenticity the Internet battles over but because of its usage in cooking shows.
