absolutely not a dig at OP or any other person whose palms are (correctly) permaglued to their faces about this insanity, but I just cannot dredge up an ounce of surprise about how stupid and helpless men can be

You do sort of have to wonder if she was really listening to the voices.
The thing is, she has songs by both Elvis Costello and Elvis Presley in her Spotify list. Because she likes the music her parents like and I liked the music my parents liked.
She just didn’t realize until that moment that they were different people.
Reader, she thought I was talking about Elvis Presley.
We had a bit of a conversation and a few sample songs from both men’s careers. 😉

When I was a teen it was only underarms and legs that had to be shaved to 'look good' but now I know men who are genuinely revolted by ANY body hair at all. And you know what....?

Also, who’s not ready? The parents? Because kids generally won’t ask you questions unless they’re ready for the conversation.
If the parents aren’t ready for the conversation, they’re cowards and bad parents because you should always be ready to talk to your kids about whatever they want.
It must be so weird to live in parts of the country where people actively make sure their children are confused by seeing two people of the same gender kissing.
I gotta tell you, if you just don’t call attention to it, kids aren’t confused by it at all.

Doctors in your state have given you every reason not to make DST permanent. Health and safety need permanent Standard Time instead!
Biologist here - there is reason. There’s evidence (lots of it) that DST is harmful to human health. Not just the switch - DST itself.
We should lock the clock on permanent standard time.
