Its not chiefly to blame, but data centers—AI, crypto, etc—hold A LOT of blame: its not only an electricity issue, its also a 💧 issue. And theres no way in hell data-centers will lower prices (in the foreseeable future).
(I used to work in the steel industry > energy industry corps were customers.)
