This is a lot to learn but love all the minis and that it feels like we are really playing Star wars, helped by the appropriate sound track in the background!

Hey there US Social Workers? How you holding up? What can we do to help and support from across the pond? Need to vent we will listen, need a hug we have open arms! #SocialWorkSky
We see so many people closed to mental health services for 'disengagement' when it seems to be more that the services don't know how to engage with the person. With the extremely pressures on the system, nobody has the time or resources to try :(
Ok #HigherEd, time to bulk up our humanities departments again. We have nazis to fight. #AcademicSky #AcademicChatter
RPA has been sent to supervisors for feedback (yikes!) and now doing some preparation to apply to present at a PGR conference this summer!! Definitely all feels real now!! #pracademic #DProf #SocialWorkAcademic

Absolutely! I know some amazing social workers that have come via a probation route :) and some current probation officers who are really social workers at the core
This is what we have been saying for years across the social care sector, both children's and adults. SureStart worked, schemes like this work. We need to be better
Yes, agree whole π the idea of specialist PQ training would certainly appeal to a number of social workers who have an interest in working in criminal justice and may help current probation staff to get the support they need to practice in a way that aligns with their values
YES!! Whole heatedly agree with this, I started my social work career in Scotland in Criminal Justice and know the benefits of that approach to probation.
Homelessness is not just a housing issueβitβs a symptom of our deeply individualist society. We need more than homes; we need a shift toward a collective mindset that prioritises solidarity, community, and shared responsibility. #Homelessness #SocialChange

Home from seeing #WickedMovie it has just blown me away absolutely sobbed my little heart out! Loved it
I am delivering a session to SW students tomorrow on decision making, it has got me thinking about the training our health based colleagues get on making decisions it feels there is a significant difference in approaches between health and social care, any thoughts? #SocialWork #RightsBasedPractice
I was also trained that it is much more likely to a close family member or friend. The stranger danger fixation has likely hindered people learning how to spot signs at home and keep kids safe :/ wasn't there a Brass Eye on this very topic?
Need to find all my #MentalHealth #SocialWork, #AMHP and #pracademics now that I have left Twitter/x :) where you all at?
