So sorry to hear this. Our pets’ memories are always for a blessing
I love this and would love to see the materials
Also the connections you make could be your peer reviewers when you’re up for tenure. Ask me how I know
This! At the end of the first semester I’m happy if they just included all the parts and put them in the right order. We have all next semester to get to more sophisticated reasoning & writing
The Sun Walks Down. On a bunch of “best of” lists but my whole book group hated it
Sending Penny good vibes
Halve. Toss w/ olive oil, herbs de Provence, salt, pepper. Air fry for 20 min at 400 (check at 15 min)
Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas. Queer/Trans Paranormal YA Romance was not a thing I had on my reading bingo card, but I totally loved this story and the world it created
Detroit Mercy is hiring ! Join our unitary TT faculty to teach legal writing and CivPro or Criminal Law. Bonus points if you know Canadian law (or are wiling to learn) because we also offer a Dual US/Canadian JD. More info here: drive.google.com/file/d/1HGLI...

Five girls on a stoop in NYC
All of a Kind Family

Do people not do this? I’m constantly terrified tech won’t work so I check it compulsively
If you can get access to a peer review platform like Eli Review they can give each other feedback while you supervise. Also suggest “partial critique” where you critique one section of the paper/memo/whatever and assign them to apply your critique to the rest
Use “we” language instead of “you”language. “We will learn” > “you will learn.” Dissolves the prof v. student dynamic and puts you all on the same team
