On this day in 1930, William Barker died.
Born in 1894 in Dauphin, Manitoba, he is the most decorated serviceman in Canadian history. For his First World War service, he received the Victoria Cross, the DSO with Bar and the Military Cross with two Bars.

This was the first show I watched religiously. I got grounded only one time in my life and wasn’t allowed to watch TV. I asked if I could record this show and watch it when my grounding was over and my mum said no.
