question: I feel like the relationship of the audience to movies has changed in the past ten or 15 years. They expect the movie to come to them. answer: Absolutely. Theyโd rather go home and turn on their TV and see a film that way. And letโs face it, a certain kind of corruption comes in because people go home and they shop around on these streaming platforms. Thereโs some good things about the platforms. They create a lot of movies. They create a lot of jobs. But thereโs so many distractions that you canโt enter the stuff. People watch five minutes of something and they say, โIโm not really into itโ and they go to another thing. โIโm not really into it.โ Then another thing. โIโm not really into it.โ Then they go to bed. If you donโt put in the effort, youโre not going to receive much. And the discourse gets lowered, and everything gets a little more dumbed down and then thatโs when the ruffians come in, and theyโre the ones with energy and stupidity and then they can crush all the thoughtful people. Thatโs not good for culture, and thatโs not good for humanity. We see the results of that all the time.
