I don't have anything to say about any mother mourning her child, her pain and her grief are not mine to question or analyze. I wish only that her son were alive, and I'll keep fighting to make sure someone like her son will be safe in the future.

whiteness is absolutely, clearly, without doubt, in there. And as I mourn Good & Pretti, as I hold their loved ones in my heart, I want to make a point of seeking out information about the people hurt & killed who are *not* white, especially those who are, with horrible clarity, ICE's target.

I genuinely believe the *biggest* factor in the immediate, nation-wide reaction to the Mpls murders is that first fact. I remember how people reacted to George Floyd's murder, which we saw almost immediately, vs. Breonna Taylor's, which we didn't.

We saw the murders of Renee Good & Alex Pretti almost as they happened. And they were white.
