Very sad to hear about the passing of John Prescott. I worked with him a few times as a driver. Drove him to Wales on a campaign visit (not THAT time!), once in a high speed police escort in Sheffield and once around Doncaster. Also went to his house for tea.

Saw my cardiologist surgeon at LGI today.
As a result, I will be returning to LGI next week for a further operation to clean up my scar and hopefully get things mended. Depending on how things go, I could be in for one night or (given recent experiences) a bit longer.
Final thoughts today. My conclusion is that many in the US have no idea what's coming for it. Can't/won't believe. 'The institutions will hold'. 'There's always the courts.' Let's hope so. But the plan is shock & awe. Think high-profile scapegoats, a climate of fear, institutional cowardice.

Nope. But, I'm told that this is perfectly normal as my "body has been through a lot". It's only a bit of heart surgery followed by a minor stroke!
It's been 19 weeks and three days since my heart operation. I'm pretty sure that I should be feeling better by now.
Current reading pile. Some completed. Some not.
It's going to be a while before I can get used to posting on here but it certainly seems a lot better for my blood pressure than that other place!
