sadly my collecting has fizzled since the retro market corroded during covid, now everything is marked up stupidly and people always try to scam ya... got a sealed copy of zelda NES a year or two ago which was super cool! i dont talk about it a lot but i really love my retro nintendo collection :)

someday id like to talk abt em more thoroughly... i grew up on retros (first game was mario on NES) and its so hard to choose fav consoles let alone games. HUGE soft spot for n64. used to play that a ton over summer break, and NES over winter... so they are kinda seasonal in my mind lol.

harvest moon 64- HAD to have n64 rep somewhere but this was the first HM i played and it hooked me horddd. love love the ost and char designs, took forever to get my own cart and due to modern tech fishing is unplayable :( shoutout to stardew for bringing HM to larger audience

DOOM 2016- doom 2016

made it feel so rare and magical. that kid also had a butt load of godzilla films and toys which is how i got into kaiju too

pkmn LG- my first pokemon game! wasnt allowed near it as a kid and bought my cart when i was 12 secretly. my OG bubbys name is xylem and others are phloem in his honor

pikmin 2- i love little guys and i love how bs this game sometimes is. took forever to beat the final boss and as soon as i did the game crashed and i never did it again

SMW- so hard to choose a mario game... SNES was special cause i didnt have one as a kid. bros friend did and playing SMW there >

katamari damacy- ultimate pick-me-up game! the prince is one of my fav chars ever, love the tunes and humor and message

ACNL- cant understate this one, was critical for lonely mid/high school sye. definitive AC imo, was also HUGELY instrumental in me wooing my wife ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ thank you aminals

wind waker- not my first zelda but i loveeee toon link so much. got my copy off ebay when i was in 3rd grade, love the graphics and ost. never officially finished it even though i know how because young me was too sad for it to end

YES omg someone else gets the odd way the visuals blur together, ive always thought that too. i just had to listen to that track since i couldnt remember it and erm it is odd lol. its definitely got parts that are good (that piano bangs) but the mix of synths n stuff isnt workin for me either :x

im sorry danny i have tried like 3 or 4 times to play it i just get so bored each time 😭the 3ds kirby games were pretty but just not my style gameplay-wise... objectively theyre probably better than squeak squad LOL
im legally mandating that anyone who plays daroach in air riders must be a squeaker
