To help avoid bubbles from the start, try brushing on polyurethane in thin layers with a gentle hand. A soft brush and a slow application usually keep bubbles from forming, which makes everything easier in the long run. 😊

A handy fix: dip a clean brush in rubbing alcohol and touch the bubble. It’ll pop without disturbing the finish. (Use sparingly. Too much alcohol can affect the finish.)
✨ Clay Tip of the Day ✨
Ever get bubbles in your polyurethane top coat? Unlike resin, you can’t pop them with a torch. The heat just flash-dries the surface and traps them. So what does work? 👇
Spring Pet Peeve:
Bunnies don’t have toe beans! Their feet are covered in thick fur, no pads like cats or dogs. But I keep seeing bunny art with little pink beans. Cute? Yes. Accurate? Not at all! Why are we giving rabbits cat feet?! #BunnyAnatomy #NoBeans #PetPeeve

With the slow start to the year and the shift of a new administration into the White House, it's no wonder so many of us are feeling all the feelings right now. Take a deep breath, and remember to be kind to yourself. Your worth is not tied to productivity. Rest, recharge, and let yourself just be.💜
Misinformation Monday:
"You can precondition clay."
Nope! Once conditioned, it stays soft for only about 24 hours. Conditioning clay and storing it is pointless. It’ll firm up again. Keep it sealed and condition only what you need when you're ready to use it. #PolymerClay #PolymerClayTips
Misinformation Monday!
"Quenching polymer clay (putting it in cold water out of the oven) makes it stronger or translucent clay clearer."
Quenching hasn’t been proven to improve strength or clarity. Strength depends on curing, while translucency varies by brand, thickness, and baking temperature.
The holidays can be overwhelming. Be gentle with yourself. Rest, cherish the little moments, and release perfection. Your well-being matters more than meeting expectations. You are enough. 🎄🫂❤️ #HappyHolidays #MerryChristmas #YouAreEnough
Have you had issues with resin lifting away from your clay when you drill through it?
Try using grinding drill bits with your Dremel or power drill. They stay steady without jumping and prevent resin from lifting and creating air pockets around your drill holes. #polymerclay

Hot take: If you're investing in hypoallergenic metals for your polymer clay jewelry but using UV resin to attach earring posts, you're canceling out the hypoallergenic benefits. Resins can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. Secure those posts with clay instead! #polymerclay #hottake
Misinformation Monday:
"Conditioning polymer clay makes it durable."
False! Durability depends on proper baking, not conditioning. If your clay snaps, it’s likely under-baked or baked at too low a temperature.
Invest in an oven thermometer to ensure accurate curing.

I can help! What types of things would you like to sculpt?
So cuuuuute! 😍
Polymer clay needs to bake at the correct temperature for long enough to fully cure. Package times are often too short, so many pros bake longer for durability. Use a digital oven thermometer to keep the temperature steady the whole time!
If I hear one more person say brittle clay is caused by not conditioning enough, I might scream. Conditioning makes clay workable, not stronger. Brittle clay is almost always underbaked or the wrong clay for thin, flexible pieces. #PolymerClayTips #PolymerClay #PolymerClayArtist
Maybe I can help! What's going on?
