One of my pet peeves about the MI series is there total misuse of the theme music after the original movie. In the original movie they played the music during the action climax toward the end of the movie. I thought that was well done. They have not done it well since.

Regarding the access to the government payment system data. Modern systems worth their salt include audit trails that track exactly what processes are run and what kind of access to the data they were granted. This is certainly true of the mainframe systems. IDK what is used
