Apollo taught me so much about myself & about dogs with special needs. As a giant breed that was deaf & experienced seizures, the odds were stacked against him. He never let any of that slow him down. He was a great big brother to his 2 sisters in his new home & was beloved by everyone who met him π

This was the first day I met him. I was stunned seeing a dog this size. I joked with staff at the shelter that he was actually a horse (he fluctuated between 75kg-100kg+ over the years).
He was the epitome of a gentle giant though. Scared of so many things but full of life and love.
This was the last time we saw each other. Every time we reunited I would get covered in slobber and white hair and I loved every minute. He never forgot me, and I am so thankful I pulled him out of the shelter and was able to be a conduit to him finding his forever home.

My ex & I adopted Apollo together. After he left, I rehomed Apollo through a deaf dog rescue to the most perfect couple who had him for the last 7 years. Apollo was truly larger than life with a heart as big as he was π

It seems the majority of the adults in captivity at Croc Cove in Darwin were identified as aggressive problems to the local population, so instead of killing them, they now live in captivity
I need someone who works in hotel design or architecture to explain why hotels donβt have good exhaust fans in the bathrooms. As someone who regularly showers in hellfire it doesnβt make sense that the bathroom is full of condensation that leaks into the room when I shower - likely leading to mould.

Everytime Alex goes away for work my family tell me they feel sorry for me being all alone.
Meanwhile here I am in my clean house, with no random cupboards open, no random lights left on, dishwasher stacked in a sane manner and sleeping without blankets being stolen.
