At first glance, I interpreted this as 12 players out for the Warriors…and considering their opponent it kinda made sense.
Shayle’s response to this concern was the most alarming part of the conversation. The sabotaging of transit support, and the competition for space in cities between cars and everything else have to be considered when boostering AVs.
The widespread western rain on snow event from ~2/23-2/25 was remarkable for how thoroughly it wiped out lower elevation snow. It’s not really a Volts thing but this event really deserves more attention for its impacts on western snowpack/water reserves.

Two backcountry skiers climbing below snowy trees on Mt. Shasta.
Storm day on Mt. Shasta, so we played in the trees below Green Butte Ridge.

Great threads on Tahoe transit. FWIW the water from Tahoe oddly heads east and what doesn’t get diverted in Reno area ends up in Pyramid Lake NV. Credit to the Pyramid Lake Paiute for saving the lake when water diversions threatened.
TART is likely the best of the regional systems in Tahoe but it’s a major miss that there’s no transit connection between north shore and south shore and the buses mostly don’t serve recreational trailheads and major destinations like Emerald Bay.
Frozen water is magic
The light in the room during different times of day probably makes a big difference, but I’d lean towards the pink or orange photos. All cool images though.
There’s a couple “ally” groups on their website that should get off asap.
The sad joke around Tahoe is that we have the most snow in the west.

Eagerly anticipating Hail Mary
Correct but the second row folds flat (which my I5 annoyingly does not).
Flat folding. My I5 has a good amount of space but it’s dumb that the back seats don’t fold totally flat.
We need metrics for Doctorow’s Law describing the speed of enshitification.

As an avalanche professional I will be providing feedback in support of NCAR and encourage colleagues to do the same.
Bug nuts is about as descriptive as one can get without venturing into sane washing this short attention span theatre garbage administration.
She’s not a bad skier. Halls is a great line but I would have waited another day or so before trying it, but that’s probably why she’s a pro and I’m not.
There are many of these old structures throughout Japan, but this reminds me of a particular one on the road leading to Kiroro.
Much higher and the wind was doing damage. I stayed low as well but saw huge plumes of snow flying off Trimmer/Freel.
Angora trees were a good call.
Can the W’s stop Rollins?
And best SG and best SF.
Showing up at Middle Schools in your neighborhood soon.
Jealous of the cold temps.
These are definitely the best dog walks. Our mutt is a beast and it takes some soft snow to slow him down this much.
