I don’t know how to explain it but these two versions of these songs fit into the same, very specific category for me
while we're on the topic, i did want to address another member of the community that has been making me uncomfortable. every time i posted about something, within minutes, darrin would post about the same thing in what appears to be a way to get my attention. it seemed very innocent to a third party but it was deeply personal to me and given i had never shown interest, the multiple posts a day that were clearly targeted at me really creeped me out. i did end up blocking him and i'm not asking you all to block or unfollow him, just be aware if this happens to you too. seeing someone post about my hometown, favorite artist, a song i mentioned liking, etc. immediately after i did it just really unsettled me in a way i'm struggling to verbalize. i understand that this is a pattern in his behavior and multiple women have been affected by it.
