Saw them in concert recently and they still have IT. This tune is an anthem, something that leaves echoes in one’s brains. Masterpiece.

You might be right about apathy/hate running deep, but possibly with the older generations mostly. I have hope for our younger folks based on my limited personal interactions. Point of reference, I’m a boomer.

As an American, this is particularly heart wrenching to hear. I know many of us do care about our fellow humans regardless of nationality or location, but there is an apathy that can’t be denied for some of my countrymen.

I think it kinda depends on where you live. I was in a rural area when a kitty showed up and wouldn’t leave. It adopted us, and Sassy/Sasser/Sassafras was the best cat ever. No questions asked. Urban area I’d ask near neighbors first, but if the kitty has picked you, then I’d say you have a cat.

My daughter plays the music she and her husband listen to while we’re in the car or chilling at home and I love hearing new artists this way. Music is calming, exciting, restorative, reflective… I swear my heartbeat changes when I’m listening to music.

Another white woman here, been listening to Sam Cooke, Aretha, Stevie, Marvin, Al, Otis, BB, Tina, Louis and many more for as long as I can remember (I’m 62). Grew up around the corner from a Pentecostal church and listened to Black gospel music which was fantastic. I adore Tracy, she’s a rare gem!
