That being said, he's our guy for now so we've gotta ride with him for the time being. And I hope you're right and that he grows into it in a way that makes us all beyond proud. I'm not sure I see a Vin Scully here, or even a Bob Carpenter. But I'll be happy to take the L here, if he gets there.
I think I'm more on Brandon's side here with regards to Kolko.
I do think he's great in the sideline role - he connects with players in a way that is unique (I don't think we like Jayson Werth nearly as much if not for Dan Kolko). But in PxP, I just don't think he's it. 1/2
I agree with your take. And I hate that I do, since I actually really like Dan as a person and I think there are other roles that he's really good in.

I like it enough. Wonder if Fien ends up at 3B, hoping Rosario can join the ranks of Sykora, Susana, Clemmey at the top of our SP prospects. Ortiz seems like a bad body but good results 1B that should be ready now. Seen reports that the 5th prospect in the trade is a young, speedy OF (#16, Cabrera).
