This is the nut graph: from Dog Man to Batman but NOT just superheroes.

The Beat's own @zackquaintance.bsky.social with the annual @publisherswkly.bsky.social look at comics retailing. What a great piece talking about using short and long form video to connect with customers! /1

What comics news sources? There are only 3 or 4 and they canβt be further punished.
Seriously, you bring up a good point.
My latest on sales charts, why we need them and when weβll get them.
This is building off @davidharper.bsky.social βs excellent research and analysis.
Also why @pranadms.bsky.social and ICv2 presenting sell-through data will change the industry forever.
Doofus thinks being female is inherently discriminatory. Thats the terror we have unleashed risible and tragic.
I can't compete with this.
A LOT has happened in Diamondβs Chapter 7 case, including the trustee cutting a proposed deal with Sparkle, allegations of secret payments and MORE! Grab a beverage a settle in.
Huge respect to @graphicpolicy.com for staying on the case.
So...this is psychotic.
I donβt think Trump and his people are capable of engineering βdistractions,β I think the mind-numbing chaos we see every day is straightforwardly the result of giving the dumbest, cruelest, most corrupt, most selfish people of a generation near-unmitigated power
One of the human passages was from one of my all time favorite books so maybe thatβs cheating?
Well, the one building they used to hold it in literally had a freeway running through the middle of it...made it hard to find things.
Honestly it was some seriously wonky city planning there.
But...climate change is a hoax.
The Seattle Convention Center is a maze, literally, but sounds like it got even more confusing this year?
Taking out Susan Collins is seemingly the most winnable senate race, but the choice between a 78 yo - oldest freshman senator ever - and this floundering rookie shows how hard it is to find viable candidates in Maine.
I was all for Platner at 1st but now getting stronger Fetterman vibes from him.
The future of Dark Horse: "creating the very best products and experiences for fans worldwide." With Mike Richardson gone, what will happen next at Dark Horse? We don't know much yet but here's what we do know
Every sycophantic ass-kissing unqualified loser hanging around Mar-a-Lago for the last 4 years saw Trumpβs presidency as an opportunity to fleece taxpayers with one corrupt scheme after another knowing they could get away with it because the boss is worse and Congress wonβt care.
I first used the name Comixace in 1993.
I can only afford to go to cons that spot me a table. I can only afford to go to out of town cons that cover my travel/lodging. I make exceptions sometimes if itβs a place I want to visitβ¦ or San Diego (dammit.)
A lot of people take huge financial risks to table at cons. Remember that and be kind.
NOEM TAKING QUESTIONS - DOES NOT APPEAR TO KNOW SHE WAS FIRED
Look at that emotion written on Noem's face...oh I forgot she can't move her face and has no human emotions.
Bye bye, Puppy Killer. See you at the trials.
If you're wondering why I only exhibit at AZCAF, which is down the street from my house and only costs fifty bucks, this is why. Large comic conventions are absurdly expensive to table at. I can't even exhibit at Phoenix, five minutes from my house, because Artist's Alley costs $600 dollars.
If you enjoyed that miniseries, you will love the Space Ghost ongoing series weβve been doing at Dynamite! (Which is where that Michael Cho cover came from!)
Did a new Blu-ray cover⦠whysoblu.com/cecile-is-de...
THIS. So much this.
This is a huge reason that I do so few conventions. I just simply can't afford to do them.
It's a huuuuuge financial gamble.
Also.....Mike and Bob Schreck were huge Godzilla fans.
Hey Kurt, you are correct! Someone was asking me about the early history of manga and tehre is not much reference to it on the internet so I kind of have a blanket. They did stay with it much longer though! I'm going to do a follow-up with more information.
One of the most influential publishers in the modern history of comics has left the company he helped found.
Mike Richardson out at Dark Horse after 40 years
I've only been to ECCC a few times but even I know this is true.
I think the massive, obvious, clusterfuck that is this illegal war might give someone pause once bodies start piling up. We'll see.
