Also if they can kill Social security and people can't afford to retire they will have to continue working. This increases the supply of labor and lowers demand for higher wages.
One of the reasons they want to end Social security is ending it ends the 6.2% payroll tax businesses pay into it. If they kill Social security Walmart etc. is not going to give it's employees a 6% raise. More profits for the shareholders.
