I'm just impressed that Jasper came blasting up the way he did with*out* a leadout and from a ways back. One of the big knocks on him has always been needing a leadout, so to see him power through on his own like that was nice to see.

Mine had to wheel surf and come from way back up the barriers for third, so our guys did well, eh? 😁

It was horrific to watch. Hoole, McNulty, Ayuso and others all in awful crashes.

But Jonas's pants were funny. Couldn't help but laugh.

Again, given that he is not on sprint form right now, but classics form, beating Milan and Magnier is a cherry on top.

(Though I saw a head to head comparison between Jasper and Milan, and Jasper has beaten Milan 9 to 5 so far.)

Andresen takes the sprint at #TirrenoAdriatico, but Jasper, being NOwhere at 500m to go, came from Narnia up the barriers to beat Milan and Magnier to get to third.

I am THRILLED with that result, well done!

I have a big stuffed giraffe that I occasionally squish. Mostly I just press my hands over my mouth and remind myself to breathe.

Given that my second fave rider is a balls-to-the-wall sprinter, I constantly live in low-grade terror. 😬
