I told my parents about the state of the game industry like this: a game was announced in the prime spot of the game awards, then it came out and had 2 million players. so it was a collosal failure
That said, I know that's not the reason they're making this decision. Also if it ends up leading to layoffs OR if the dev time doesn't go down(now that everyone can focus on new experiences), then this sucks 100%.
