Anyway, I still struggle with religious guilt which is so stupid because I’m fucking 35 years old and we went to a fairly progressive Lutheran church. 🫠

I’m a pretty strong atheist now (and card carrying member of The Satanic Temple), but will still fight for religious freedom, as long as you’re not harming those that don’t agree with you.

I ended up going through an entire deconstruction of Christianity the rest of that year. Sophomore year I lied to my Lutheran church in order to get confirmed (didn’t want to upset my parents) and then my family ended up leaving the church anyway about a year later.

That comment clicked something in my brain where I realized, hey, this is all bullshit. If “god” loves all his creations, why is he allowing children to be killed in a bus accident? Why did he allow the Holocaust? Why do so many good people have to suffer while the most evil vile humans get off free

I was 14 and a traumatic fatal accident happened involving my high school. The whole school was grieving and my freshman English teacher made a comment that she hated when people told someone in grief that “god needed” their loved one, as if that was an excuse for people dying in a horrible way (1)

I don’t like commenting on drama, but over the past few days watching a community I’ve enjoyed being in fill with poison coming from all directions… doesn’t feel great.
A lot of people could benefit from being better communicators.

The more I hear and experience drama in this community and see how y’all treat each other openly and behind the scenes the more I just want to go back to no-interact. I hoped artists had more empathy for their own kind, but give someone a little attention and y’all show your true faces.

I think I have too many hobbies to be “successful” on social media. I simply do not have the time or energy to put all my eggs in one basket and only focus on one specific niche

Make sure to take your iron supplements with something high in vitamin C - they’re way more effective that way which I never knew until my anemia got bad enough to send me to hematology. I started taking mine with a good chug of orange juice and in a few days could feel a difference.
