Maybe people just don't understand the scope of this event because they didn't grow up with total control of cultural institutions by the state? As a person who did, I can tell you that it absolutely sucks. Cultural institutions should have freedom of speech for the society to be healthy
I'm not sure about "popular". Looks like "completely random".

Multiculturalism and multi language, that's what was making America great
What are the enrollment procedures for children with migration backgrounds in Russian schools and kindergartens? How are these procedures changing in the context of war? In what ways do Russian authorities legalize xenophobia? posle.media/language/en/...
Yes!!! I waited for this!
I meant "answer", yes
Can Tomte really be a "response" to Santa? Tomte tradition is probably much older or at least developed independently
- Kinda. I studied it and it doesn't scare me, but probably won't read all the symbols correctly

Interesting! Which website is it?
Which means Duo shouldn't have corrected you (both are correct)
Looked into it a bit more. Real Academia Española website says in these cases the verb can be both singular and plural (both versions are correct). www.rae.es/espanol-al-d...
Interesting! Then maybe Duolingo thinks "la mitad de los diarios" is plural because it's several objects ("diarios"). (It works like this in many languages, but I don't know about Spanish).
I think Duolingo thinks it's wrong because of the word "sobre", but highlights the wrong word
I got Hindi. Thank you for the link! 💙
Interesting! What do you mean by arbitrary sentences?
I do similar things. Do you use Google translate only and no "traditional" (dictionary) translations?
understand is easier
Are you using translation for language learning? How?
Formally: German, Russian, English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Itelmen
Field research (talking to speakers and creating grammar): Mariupol Greek
Informally: about 25 at this point, I think
Oh, that makes sense, thank you!
It has to do with the social group the speaker belongs to, but body? Are you referring to race/nationality? I'm confused because in many areas of the world people are being treated differently because of their language – but they look exactly the same (have "the same bodies")
Due is good (paid version)
1. Most of the time. 2. I reframe them as smaller, more realistic goals – this is a very painful process
Wow, this looks awesome
Hi! I love language learning
Oh yes. Yes it is.
