Ground was dry enough, so I finally got pictures of all my recent finishes! First up is a National Parks version of Snaphappy from Pen + Paper Patterns #quiltsky

Its happening. I’m actually working through my backlog. Trimmed and bound three of the six quilts this week that I’ve had on my floor for like a year.

Now we wait for the snow to melt and the ground to dry so I can take their pictures. #quiltsky

Oh I have been there. Honestly a lot of my work has been just trying things out and seeing if I like them. Theres a fair few quilts that I have made that I’ll probably never post for one reason or another

It feels like every big quilt I do has stages

1. Get excited and start the quilting
2. Make decent progress for a bit
3. Get overwhelmed by the scope of the project and stop
4. Let it sit a while and work on other things
5. Come back with fresh eyes and more patience

Welp I was going to finish cutting out my Skylight quilt top, but I discovered I shorted myself a whole half yard of background fabric and the store opens after the new year. But, I did finish basting the hexies for section 3 of Alchemy! #quiltsky

Finally finished the matchstick quilting section of this quilt. I am not the biggest fan of the technique as its both time consuming and tedious, but I do love the resulting texture. #quiltsky

I saw it featured on an old episode of the Midnight Quilt Show and ended up choosing my own colors.
