The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office is proud of our diverse staff, including numerous women who serve as attorneys, case managers, victim advocates, and administrative professionals who work in pursuit of justice, inside and outside the courtroom. President Gerald Ford officially expanded it to a month-long observance in 1976. During this month, we reflect on the achievements, contributions, and enduring legacy of African Americans who helped shape our Nation and our communities here in Anne Arundel County. Over this month, we will highlight members of our office who make a difference in the criminal justice system by helping victims, witnesses, defendants and at risk-juveniles. This week, SAO staff, SAO family and friends, and members of the Criminal Clerk’s Office donated hundreds of gifts for 200 children within the county as part of the Anne Arundel County government employees Angel Tree program. Thanks to the AA Sheriff's Office for help with transporting gifts.

This morning, Deputy SA Brian Marsh provided a cyber safety presentation to 9th graders at Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn.
The presentation included topics like cyberbullying and encouraging students to be mindful of their digital footprint and to think before they post online.
