I feel her pain. 74. Hubs is 79. We both spent our careers in govt service.
I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with MTG 100%.
And for the record, I’m not paid for any of my opinions. Never have been, never will be.
In all the chaos, I would urge folks to remember that a lot of folks now don’t know when their next check will come.
The vast majority are good people who love this nation deeply, and many of them are still working despite not knowing when they’ll be paid

Germany also has a robust system of technical apprenticeships which the U.S. does not have. Where in the U.S. someone might go to a community college for plumbing, electrical, heating&cooling, and so on, in Germany that is an employer paid apprenticeship.
