Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact.

How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.

Stuart McLean sits cross-legged on a dark green couch, hands clasped in front of him, wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans, and dark socks. He faces the camera and is centered in the frame. Behind him, tall black bookshelves fill the wall from floor to ceiling, packed with books of many sizes and colors, with rows of CDs on the left. Two green throw pillows with light-colored designs rest on the couch, one on each side.

Stuart McLean was one of the most beloved storytellers and humorists in Canadian history.
Known as the Story-Telling Comic, his stories explored both humorous and serious themes.
His show, Vinyl Cafe, was acclaimed.
This is his story.

Thanks to Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara’s years of playing unwitting, over-the-top eccentrics in Christopher Guest movies, Schitt’s Creek had a similarly left-of-center vibe.

My name is Craig Baird.
I was born in Calgary, and raised on a rural Alberta acreage surrounded by farms.
I have lived most of my life in Alberta, and I still live in the province.
But I am Canadian first and Albertan second.
I will never support Alberta separation.

For non-German speakers:

“Dear media, I can’t stand the headline "No agreement between the US and Denmark” any longer. If an armed man storms a bank, you don't run the headline: "Robber and cashier can't reach an agreement on money transfer." Stop framing imperial aggression as normal diplomacy.”

A group of Canadian provincial and territorial flags flying on multiple flagpoles against a clear blue sky. Visible flags include the national flag of Canada (red with white center and red maple leaf), British Columbia (Union Jack with crowned sun setting over waves), Nova Scotia (blue saltire with yellow shield and red lion), Quebec (blue with white cross and fleurs-de-lis), Saskatchewan (green and yellow with shield and lily), Prince Edward Island (red-bordered with lion and trees), and others from the provinces and territories, all waving in the breeze.

The provinces and territories of Canada have some truly beautiful flags, which honour their history, landscapes and cultures.
They also have some great history too!
This is the history (not the symbolism) of each provincial and territorial flag!

The stars of the video are Andean bears Coya, a two-year-old female, and Ransisku, a three-year-old male, both resident at Queens Zoo, New York. They were filmed by visitor Ursula McDermott, who spotted them playing with a branch balanced in the gap of a tree, moving it up and down like a seesaw!
