depending on how your torque thing is oriented gravity is just treated as another force applied to it pointing straight down e.g. torque on a clock hand at 3 or 6 from gravity is mass*g*sin(90 deg) while at 6 or 12 it will experience 0 torque from gravity since mass*g*sin(0) is 0.

yeah It's one of those things where we use mass and weight interchangeably in everyday life but when solving kinematics stuff the difference becomes important

it will almost get you torque, which is force * radius * sin(theta), but weight is mass * gravity, which isn't force, so you'll need to convert pounds to pounds-force or newtons.
