The evening ended with us being allowed to select a couple of books from their giant collection written and illustrated by first nations peoples from all over Turtle Island. We were so excited to find new titles to add to our home library.

We were also luck enough to hear traditional oral storytelling from Dene and Cree elders from the community. Our daughter in particular loved hearing about how the weasel got his winter coat and why the bear sleeps all winter.

The author just built such an incredible and detailed world, I wish a little more of the focus could have been there? Not going to pretend I have any idea of how they could have done it, but thats what the rest of the series is for. 😅
This does mean however that when I went searching for my puzzle books I found 3 seperate ones that were all half finished cause I hadn't flipped to the left side yet. 😅😅😅
lol also anyone else go through their puzzle books and only do the right hand pages first and then go back through and fill our the left hand side? 😅
I find it so much easier to roll up the puzzle book the one direction rather than going back and forth.
Anyone else use word puzzles to keep their hands busy while listening to audiobooks? I can't manage a crossword, but a simple fill-in or wordsearch is the perfect level of complex that still lets me concentrate on the story.

I use it to indicate that I received it as an ARC. It's a terrible pun but makes me laugh.
To save in characters I have a whole glossary of them that I use.
I listened to it on audio, it was 9:36hrs.
But looks like the digital editions are coming in around 360 pages. It was breeze of a read tho, did not feel that long at all.
