Making the bots look like real player names is such an underhanded tactic just to get people to think they're winning and keep them engaged (and buying microtransactions).
I think Mario Kart Tour was the worst case of this (using your friends' names), but it was pretty bad in PUBG too.

If you're using Wayland you can do it from the browser Discord client! I know it's annoying to have to leave the desktop one and switch to the web one for it to work, but you can definitely do it!
I know on Xorg it just works right now.
Outside of wanting to use my wireless VR adapter, the games I play aren't affected by that, including the multiplayer ones (Dota 2, Deadlock for example).
I also play a ton of RPGs, most of which work day 1 on Linux.
Do it! IMO we're already there outside of things that require proprietary hardware or kernel-level anti-cheat (Apex, PUBG, Valorant, Destiny 2, etc.).
I switched to Arch Linux as my daily driver and am loving it. I keep Win11 on an extra SSD, mainly for VR (wireless adapter has on linux driver)

I think it's joever.
Platinum hasn't put out a game since Bayo Origins. They did work on FFXVI, and Project G.G. was led by Kamiya, who is gone and it was announced FOUR YEARS ago.
I think Platinum is probably done. At the very least it doesn't look good.
The only hope is Nintendo owns the IP.
