Trump has been promoting air pollution denial since at least 2017.

It’s taken different forms over the years, but the goal was always the same: to stop regulatory agencies from treating air pollution as a public health problem.

The Trump EPA has now reached that endpoint.

Most recent energy outlook survey from Dallas Fed shows an industry no longer debating whether growth will slow—but instead how to position for prolonged uncertainty. Production is largely flat, employment is frozen more than expanding, capital spending plans are fractured by firm size, and price assumptions have quietly reset lower. This is not an industry in retreat. It is an industry playing defense.

This is the (pretty negative) prognosis for the oil and gas industry from the belly of the beast in Texas, even with absolutely every bit of federal and state help they could possibly have. But sure, let's continue to pour all our hopes for "abundance" into this leaky bucket.
