Hoping to hear good news on Jaylen Wells soon. Would be a horrible end to a great season for the kid but just hope he’s ok.
Zach Edey has 60 rebounds and counting over his last 4 games.
Vince back and has more minutes than Luke so far. VW getting back to last season’s form has been something this team
has needed all season long but crucial now if this team is going to be competitive in the playoffs.
Pulled out of the tail spin nicely. Playing with some desperation, finally. God this team could do with a big aggressive rebounder.
The Grizzlies are playing with zero confidence and a complete lack of cohesion. Because of this their opponents are playing with great confidence and cohesion.
There’s no quick fix. This team is in a tail spin.

Sliding doors: what are the key rumoured roster moves from recent seasons that didn’t happen which,with hindsight, the team should‘ve thrown more assets at to execute?
Inversely: any actual roster moves which have resulted in this team being less competitive than if they hadn’t of happened at all?
Would’ve liked to see Vince and Edey used down the stretch in this one. Some good signs but the defence remains a total shit show. Celtics next. Welp.

White hot shooting from the Lakers but it’s not just luck, the Grizzlies defence flat out sucks. As @chrisherrington.bsky.social discussed on the Daily Memphian Grizz pod this week - teams are shooting well vs Grizz cos they’re comfortable and Grizz are allowing them to get into rhythm.
Tonight the part of Steph Curry will be played by Gabe Vincent
39 point from the Lakers in Iisalo’s first quarter as Grizzlies coach. Salvaging this season will require turning the defence around, which is scorched earth atm.

Firing him now does seem wild but was likely to happen in offseason and obviously the team felt like it needed fresh eyes now for playoff push. I get it. Rough for a guy who had done a mostly stellar job however. Thanks for the good times, HC Jenkins!
I think Jenkins biggest plus as a coach was getting guys to believe in themselves and helping them accelerate their potential. This season he often seemed to be second guessing himself. Front office didn’t help his cause, I think there’s been negativity on the team since adding nothing at deadline.
It’s been a funny season- lots of promise early then mostly frustrating since January. If the big 3 play more like 50 games together as opposed to 30 Jenkins probably still has his job. That said I think his inconsistent rotations have been frustrating players and the chemistry had gone bad.

TA was a huge part of my Grizzlies fandom, following the whole Grit and Grind era through thick and thin, through trick and treat. Man he was frustrating at times but such a unique, tenacious player. Thanks for the memories, T!

Grizzlies needed a game like this. Active + energetic team hoops at both ends. All revolves around Ja who’s had a great stretch of games, but shout out the bench guys for providing a boost - Cam, Bagley, Lamar, Scotty - all terrific. Nice Huff game too, get him back in the rotation TJ!
