I love when the chat bot tells you what support number to call and the hours are wrong, and that’s if any information it provided had any value at all

I do, every day, so that when it’s truly hot/sunny I’m fully conditioned to leave the hat on. 😭 In the selfie pics with my sunglasses on, my hat is often in the glass reflection 🀭

I’m honestly starting to wonder if I should switch to Asics. I don’t like the tread on the Hoka. I can’t imagine running in them. I understand that shoes are very personal. I always have to settle with my shoe pic in the states because of my sizing.

I watch my tread pretty carefully b/c in Brooks I have to replace every ~ 300-400 miles. I have wondered if the Adrenaline just doesn’t have the needed support for 40+ min runs. I’ve gone b/t the Adrenaline and Glycerine GTS as Brooks has fiddles with design & my runs change

I had been a 2025 iphone adopter rather than ~ 2018. My first huge computer/laptop loss was also a mac in ~ 2013 when they were being coy about the SSD failures to ppl who purchased by sellers like best buy rather than them directly. Bad Apple is making bad moves these days.

The IOS 26 updates were so horrible that I went online to the youtube vids and turned off everything I could. It was insane how buggy it was and the fact that it happened before emergency travel for my uncle’s spine surgery/infection made it suck more. I would have switched back to droid if…

#Running #FitnessWalking beware. The Outdoor Run/Walk settings keep changing to β€œflexibility” workout on AppleWatch. I thought this run change today was an oopsie on my part. But just happened on my cool down walk and I was careful to choose outdoor walk. 🀬. As if IOS26 wasn’t hell enough.

Today was going much better. Shame I had to run ~ 6.6 km to get a solid 5 km recorded. I’m extremely sensitive to heat with direct sun so my HR was higher than expected so it was a bust all around. Per every apple update I’ll head online to change crappy updates that make UX worse

~ 10 min β€œFlexibility” workout going up to 159 bpm hr with average HR 149.

~ 10 min β€œFlexibility” workout going up to 159 bpm hr with average HR 149.

Heart rate heat map for ~ 32 mins of a ~ 42 min run. It totally broke my VO2Max score too.
166 bpm hr avg, 171 bpm hr average, starts in zone 4, 5:05. Finishes in zone 5 27:13

#running 6.5 km with an extra ~ 6.5 mins in zone 5/red because not only is the #AppleWatch update complete πŸ’© (panel/toggle/pic changes) but the DevOps is also so bad that it can’t sense run/walk even with so many cue options. Very hot, no shade.

As a knee surgery alum I can say that The lighter the load the better, that swimming was horrible on healing, and if i had the surgery now I would load up on protein, supplements, and sleep. It’s such a tough position to be in.

Thanks! This definitely comes on the heels of me having to abort strength training for arms/abs waiting for delayed migraine care & abort leg work because of gym changes after a move. It’s been really hard to get back into a balanced regimen since our October move as gym conditions/access are poorer

Certainly! For those genetically blessed toward voluminous fast running - those who do the Nike training labs or for someone like Correst Gump where his 5km/Day was HalfMarathon - they will always be the exceptions, and shouldn’t be used as the β€œrule” is my hunch.

otherwise, I would love to test the theory. Maybe in my 50’s 🀣πŸ₯‚

This is what I was told when I had a ton of marathoner friends in DC. I’ve hesitated to mention it to ppl pushing 20+ miles in their marathon training right now as their paid trainers are coaching them otherwise. I’m definitely no expert. In my 20’s I found πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ too boring, in my 40’s i want to πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ daily

The rich are definitely ruining the country…..not to mention many others. Things are not going forward in Iran the way obtuse deluded drump was enchanted into believing. Bibi made quick work of conning our golden calf.

Cozy. Too bad it would have been impossible for Wilbur to stowaway. Definitely too cold outside the sleeping bag.

#5KADay 533, 534, 535, 536 #running Thursday-Sunday on my worsening leg. It’s really slowing me down and I can’t figure out what’s going on so I’m just being careful. I’m puzzling over options. Will try strength work. Fastest pace was 6’08” but not continuous. #Runchat #Runsky

PS, I’ve owned a business too. However, I think MAGA is good for white men with money the same way I think MAGA churches and their brotherhood connections are good for white male recovering addicts who own construction businesses. Both work great with men who can’t leave misogyny behind.

Seriously. The 2024 election was a real cold look at people’s selfishness, stupidity, sexism, & racism and my bible thumping, business owning, in-recovery white twin brother belongs in this category. I just about ripped his head off when he said Trump would make a better President than Harris β€œdid”

My deal with my hubby if Biden didn’t drop out was to vote for Biden regardless so we - as a nation- can continue to show that the electoral college is a construct of racism and letting land vote that shouldn’t exist anymore. I really wish ppl understood the 2024 assignments.

Xhitter accounts quick to point out that TX primaries are open … you just have to pick one … until it’s more convenient in smearing Democrats by not admitting it. Obviously a ton of Republicans voted in the Democratic primary for the white β›ͺ️ guy. We get it Texas, we get it TikTok, we get it xhitter.

Well, it’s always important for ppl to evaluate the full spread of results when it comes to medicine/biological sciences. But I say that as someone used to being the outlier on basically everything, including having good reason to check up on what doctors say.

That’s where I’m lucky. I did very well in undergrad chem, but my hubby actually has a degree in it. So right now, I’m like β€œbut could u consider creatine supplementing in the context of aging, active women and not just basic ppl who eat meat & greens?” to my hubby. He’s handy, if a procrastinator.

I found all the information understandable, but I had training in undergrad (U.S.) and grad school (london) on how to read and assess technical lit and studies. I’d say the average American lacks the analytical capacity to evaluate and synthesize technical information. We’re kinda cooked in the U.S.

My doctor, a surgeon in the U.S. sent me PubMed lit after I disagreed with her surgical plan and gave her lit review from Australia. The pubmed lit review made the same case against doing an ooferectomy the australian data did. I felt she was doing a CYA for us against the ProvSwedish med system
