Good Morning Miami
Good Morning Miami
Woah!
I’m in a movie theater in Virginia and this shit was built in the 90s and untouched for years, this rocks
Aerial view of Disney-MGM Studios after opening in 1989 and the “World’s Largest Hidden Mickey”.
Feel better soon!
It is slightly insane.
Not gonna lie, it makes me glad I keep an eye on charity shop eBay on the regular.
A screenshot from Amazon app showing a copy of Walt Disney’s Railroad Story for £562.99!!!!!
You can find it on Amazon US for $70 and there’s a Used Acceptable copy on Amazon here for £39.99. Then there’s this….
As my husband says it says a lot about rail enthusiasts that the biggest and heaviest Disney book we have is the one about the trains.
The front of cover of the 1998 second edition of Walt Disney’s Railroad Story: The Small Scale Fascination That Led to a Full-Scale Kingdom by Michael Broggie
It is a chonky book. 430 pages. As seen here on its side showing just how big it is.
Charity shop eBay comes through once again. Second edition of Walt Disney’s Railroad Story in basically perfect condition, all 430 pages of it. This isn’t easy to come by so the fact a charity shop had it and I got it £22.25 including postage is astonishing.
The link in the below is a curated list of as many as possible of the businesses lost in the Union Street, Glasgow fire. It links to each gofundme or donation pages set up to help these people out who have lost everything.
Here’s an even better link. A full list of the donation pages set up and all in one place:

A post from Facebook by The Cathouse Rock Club: We are deeply saddened by the incredibly tragic loss for Glasgow last night. Not only have we lost The Union Corner building (the building in the middle dates from 1851), but also the businesses that reside within. Glasgow wont look the same again and livelihoods have been put at risk. There are many GoFundMe's available to help support the loss of business, i've done my best to compile what I've managed to find, but please if you see any - post in the comments here and let's give these places the support we can. Rude Cookies had compiled a list of businesses that they have shared with us - so please, head to their pages and give support where you feel like you can. The Cathouse, aka The Catty, further down UnIon Street did a post on fb and insta highlighting all the businesses lost in the Union Street, Glasgow fire. Many now have gofundme’s and the like. I’ve added the post below.
Yeah it’ll be chaos for a while. Lots of transport disruption. It was all small businesses (tattoo shops, hairdressers, nail salons) in the main building, there was also charity shop, fish and chip shop and cafes affected too. A vape shop caused it all.
Four-panel comic on a dark textured background featuring a fluffy black cat with very large round eyes looking directly at the viewer. In the first panel the text reads “You there,”. In the second panel it says “Yes, you.” In the third panel it says “Just know…”. In the final panel the cat’s eyes contain heart shapes and the text reads “I’m cheering for you.” The signature “purr.in.ink” appears in the corner.
Thank you for asking btw. We travel through the station often, my husband more than me. I’m very glad the station has survived but lots of checks to be made to be sure it’s safe. It’s Scotland’s busiest station. The building that’s gone dates back to 1841, before the station itself.
My husband’s daily trains to work are currently affected as he can’t work from home (I’m gonna WFH as I can to lessen pressure on transport). It’s frustrating but nowhere near as bad the businesses who have lost everything.
If I had a nickel for every time Franz Ferdinand was involved in the precursor events of a world war, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice
