Thank you for this link. She makes an excellent case for the value of the humanities and their intentional devaluation by vested interests. We may differ on specific issues, but with our humanities grounding, we can value critical thinking and benefit from a diversity of perspectives.

Life is filled with conversations. One of the jobs that prepared me early for fascinating, pleasant, and challenging discussions was working the graveyard shift at a 7-11 convenience store while going to university. We interact with a diverse array of people and can learn from all of them.
