A big pet peeve of mine is when people call anything they don’t agree with “contrarian.” No, fuck you that’s a dick take. Elementary is my fave Sherlock adaptation. It’s not contrarian it just bangs. It’s Sherlock as a US crime procedural, which honestly fits the character.
