Hang in there, God. You take a little rest and weβll carry the torch for awhile.
X post by Timothy Snyder (@TimothyD ...), posted 6 hours ago. The post reads, "The people Attorney General Bondi is calling 'terrorists' have had no trial and no chance to defend them. We do not know they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril."
I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.
GOV. WALZ IN IOWA: βThis an issue of - do you stand with veterans? If you do, you should not have voted YES like your rep did to cut the VA. Itβs that simple.β
said this before and i wasn't exaggerating: RFK has the exact personality type of the kind of person that, in a different sort of regime, oversees mass starvation.
Are you bored tonight? Send your five accomplishments, maybe your shopping list, or your five thoughts on Elon from the past week to OPM at HR@opm.gov.
Heβs setting us all up for the funniest possible ending.
The Stonewall Inn and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative are outraged and appalled by the recent removal of the word 'transgender' from the Stonewall National Monument page on the National Park Service website. This blatant act of erasure not only distorts the truth of our history, but it also dishonors the immense contributions of transgender individuals - especially transgender women of color - who were at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots and the broader fight for LGBTQ+ rights. The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other
Hey, as long as we're just making up departments without Congressional oversight or anything else, how about we all get together to form DAME (Department of Annihilating MAGA Everywhere)?
Thou shalt not let the foreign billionaire whose rockets blow up all the time anywhere near the air traffic control system.
BREAKING: we just blocked Musk & Trump out of the Treasury systems!
Court order just secured β big win by us at @sddaction.bsky.social & our partners including @publiccitizen.bsky.social!
Great News! In response to our motion, the court has restricted access to the Treasury Department payment system, barring sharing of sensitive data with Elon Muskβs DOGE.
I sincerely donβt know why people arenβt physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons
Again, imagine if George Soros took control of all our government intel, shared it publicly with β¦ Edward Snowden, I guess? β¦ and they talked about how they were going to take down evangelical mega churches.
The right would self combust
So, it turns out federal employees take their oath, their job & their duty to serve dead serious. Retirees (like me) understand the oath doesnβt expire just because youβve left. This whole thread is giving me life, but especially this:
I feel like we could all use some good news today, so hereβs something: itβs not pitch black at 5 pm anymore!
One thing about me is that I will fight Nazis until Iβm six feet in the ground.
Weβre learning just how many people have been pretending at the most basic human decency all along. Theyβve hated feeling compelled to pretend. They so love the recent license to stop.
They canβt imagine anyone who isnβt also pretending. When they run into virtue, they call it βvirtue signaling.β
