It's quite the rabbit-hole to get into. I think PNC had great art direction and writing, and the gameplay being fun and f2p friendly is always a plus. I like the series as a whole, but kinda fell out with GFL2. There's also a non-gacha game in the series called Reverse Collapse, which I enjoyed.

GFL: Project Neural Cloud did this with my babygirl Sol, with her becoming corrupted. It's honestly such a peak archtype.
