I am a Fine Art Printmaker, living and working on the West Coast of Scotland. I specialise in Collagraphy, printing from hand built collage printing plates. www.rossthompsonprints.com
Multicoloured, layered sky shading from grey at the top to oranges. Silhouette of Portpatrick Lighthouse to the left and harbour rocks to the right.
A string of beautiful sunsets at the moment. Is summer on its way?

Thanks. I donβt think I had noticed the echoing before. Good spot.
Back home to the sea today.

Thank you so much. Very much the colours of my locale
I like that
Seascape with small pebbles in the foreground. Bigger boulders in the middle distance lead to a layer of sea before the cliffs rise on the right hand side.

Trying out some recommended hashtags this Saturday morning. It seems some are time dependent?
Not sure that my aging brain can fathom all of this but Iβll give it a go! Hope I am doing ok so far?
Back to Cityscapes this weekβ¦itβs been a while. Wish me luck as I start the front cover of my collaborative book project with my Writer Son. Closing in.

Another mesmerising sunset. Watching and waiting until the last vestige of the sunβs orb winked out behind Ireland.

Sadly not in the smaller size. It is difficult to get that much detail smaller. I will investigate dmβing.
No. I do have some editions here in the studio. Image size 34cmx34cm Β£250 unframed. I can show you the editions if you are interested. Not sure how that works on here.
A sea view with yellow lichen encrusted rocks in the foreground. Cliffs in the middle distance to the right leading out to the horizon across blue seas.
This is one of my favourite prints of my home terrain. Morroch Bay is a couple of hours walk along the coastal path and accessed by a long grind down to the Shelly beach. A delight on a sunny day for picnics and beach combing.
Favourite beach?

Thank you
There is a path in the middle leading between three trees. Two to the left and one to the right. The trees are made of snippets of string.
Here is the finished mini print which I showed in its pre inky stage yesterday. My mini prints are only 9cmx9cm and are often nothing more than a snippet of string or a small piece of lichen strategically placed.

I will try and master it.
Thank you. β€οΈ
Scrim and string
Thanks Jane
Thank you. Totally new to this feature but want to do my best.
Collagraph plate
Collagraph plate before inking
Just trying out the Alt text function. Still learning on here. This is an example of a mini Collagraph plate before it has been inked up. The honey colour is from the shellac coating used to protect the plate from the inks.

Wowβ¦sounds an interesting existence
Thank you
Yes. Sometimes I only use one plate, most often two and occasionally three if the image requires it
Thank you.
Inspired by what I see. Driven to share. That just about sums me up!

A tide of beautiful sunsets up here in Scotland. I do have to pinch myself and ask how I ended up with this magnificent view in my life.
Have a super Sunday folks

Wow. Blast from the past. My regular coffee haunt in the day!
Lol. Same hereβ¦not a clue.
Loving your work too
Thank you so much.
