The 50 business leaders and AI guys who are embedded across the government have zero knowledge on any of these issues.
Focus on trade agreements all you want but you still need other subject matter experts to answer questions and guide you on what should be very straight forward issues and simple facts, such as those you stated.
This is why I scratched my head on Saturday. There absolutely should be someone at PMO or on the file that would have given him the basic run down on international law and Canada’s past policy statements so he could at least have been consistent.
