It was a windy one at last nights City Hall Light the Lights but the temperatures remained ABOVE zero!! Today is a different story as temps plummet back down below seasonal before we see another warm up this week!

EXTREME COLD WARNINGS issued for central Sask including North Battleford, Saskatoon, Yorkton.
An arctic airmass is moving over the region, dropping overnight lows to near minus 30 & below w/extreme wind chill values of minus 40 overnight Thursday and into Friday morning.
Snowfall warnings continue to slowly lift in southern Sask including for Regina. But the wind gusts have picked up to over 50km/hrβ¦prepare for those snowdrifts βοΈ

SNOWFALL WARNINGS remain in place for much of #Sask but have started to lift for parts of SW and areas long southern boarder.
As the snow continues, numerous hwys have been marked βtravel not recommendedβ by SK Hwy Hotline
SNOWFALL WARNINGS have now extended into much of southern and central Saskatchewan.
Snowfall accumulations could reach up to 25cm for many areas including Regina & Saskatoon.
Snowfall is expected to begin Saturday morning g and linger into Sunday evening.

SNOWFALL WARNINGS have been issued for SW Sask including MOOSE JAW & reaching up to North Battleford.
Snowfall total amts of 10-20cm is expected as a system will spread heavy snow across southern Sask.
*Warning will likely expand eastward across the province as the event nears.
With winds gusting to 70km/hr in and around #yqr⦠snow drifts will be bad out there!
Highway hotline reporting a number of highways with reduced visibility & travel not recommended.

A Texas Low is bringing rain/freezing rain/snow & strong winds for eastern Sask tonight through to Wed.
