15 years ago, I visited several Serengeti villages w/ an MIT alumni group. They had donated PV solar from Germany, women walked to the villages to charge their cell phones & boombox sized batteries to run household lights off solar.

I thought 1980s Portland water tasted great & guzzled it. But a Portland resident told me that it contained high levels of VOCs. Taste has nothing to do with drinking water safety. 🤷🏻‍♀️
